Servicing our Ford Fiesta ST MK7 and the parts we selected

The Octane Fiesta ST MK7

Here at Octane we’d like to share another one of our service stories, our Project ST!

Our Project ST came to us with a relatively unknown history, we knew it had some modifications but didn't know how deep those mods went. We decided the first course of action was to give it a full health check and service.

These are the products we used:

Engine Oil: For our Fiesta, we used Motul’s 8100 Power 5W-30 , a fully synthetic engine oil crafted for optimal performance for modified vehicles. For normal road use or light modification we would suggest Motul’s 8100 Eco-Lite 5W-30.

Oil Filter:  For optimum OEM quality we used Blueprint’s ADM52122 Oil Filter paired with a brand new drain plug from Febi, 48907.

Air Filter:  We used Blueprint’s ADM52257 Panel Filter, which matches OEM quality with high filtration performance and dust holding capabilities. We later replaced the standard airbox and filter with ITG’s Fiesta induction kit, COASFST16T3, allowing for greater airflow and throttle response.

Cabin Filter: We used another Blueprint product, ADF122505 to replace our cabin filter. This filter is an activated carbon paper filter that allows for better filtration into the vehicle’s cabin.

Want to Upgrade your ST service parts?

Engine Oil: As previously mentioned, we have a few options available for the ST when it comes to oil. Motul’s 8100 Power 5W-30 is an upgrade to the usual Eco-Lite and should be used when a vehicle is more heavily modified or unknown modifications are fitted. To further upgrade your oil, our Motul 300V Power 5W-30 is also available, which is predominantly for race use.

Air Filter: We have two upgrades when it comes to air filters for the ST. For a straight replacement with added performance we suggest ITG’s WB-232 Profilter. To further increase performance, we stock ITG’s Fiesta Induction Kit, COASFST16T3.
