We explore the question of which shock absorber from the BILSTEIN Performance product range is best suited to which application. BILSTEIN B6 to B16?

Quick Summary

1. B6 Dampers: Improved OE replacement for heavier loads (towing, carrying etc)
2. B8 Dampers: Perfect OE replacement shock for lowered vehicles
3. B12 Pro-Kit Coilover Kit: Allows the car to be lowered up to 40mm and includes Eibach springs
4. B12 Sportline Coilover Kit: Allows the car to be lowered up to 50mm with B8 dampers and includes Eibach springs
5. B14 Coilover Kit: Offers lowering between 30-50mm front and rear but fixed damping settings
6. B16 Coilover Kit: Like the B14 but with adjustable rebound and bump settings. Can make use of the Bilstein Damptronic, ridecontrol or iRC controls.
